Clothing, leather, bedding — restored in our Esporta system, not written off.
Soft goods are what a loss ruins first and a claim writes off fastest: clothing, shoes, purses, jackets, bedding, pillows, stuffed animals. As an Esporta Certified Operator we wash and restore them in the Esporta Wash System — a patented restoration technology that returns over 90% of a home’s soft contents to food-grade clean, with 99% of contaminants removed in independent lab testing.

What soft goods & textile restoration includes.
Soft goods are where a contents claim quietly gets expensive. Clothing, bedding and leather are easy to write off and hard to replace, so the question isn’t whether they look dirty — it’s whether they can be brought back to a standard you’d actually live with.
Every step is documented — from the first photo to the final check.
What counts as soft goods
Clothing and laundry of every kind, leather goods (shoes, purses, jackets), bedding, sleeping bags, pillows, stuffed animals, and sports equipment.
The Esporta Wash System
A patented restoration technology, and a hydraulic detergent-based wash rather than ordinary laundering. It returns over 90% of a home’s soft contents to food-grade clean; independent lab testing verified it removes 99% of contaminants.
Smoke-, water- and mold-affected textiles
Smoke-specific detergents for soot and odor; wet and mold-affected items washed and deodorized, including sewage-affected (category-three) textiles where they can be safely cleaned.
Tracked like everything else
Every item is photographed and barcoded on the same manifest as the rest of your contents, so soft goods never become the untracked pile.
Washed, not written off. The Esporta Wash System is a hydraulic, detergent-based process rather than ordinary laundering — which is why smoke- and water-affected textiles, and even sewage-affected ones where they can be safely cleaned, come back instead of going on the loss list.
When you need soft goods & textile restoration.
Soft goods restoration matters any time a loss reaches a closet, a bed, or a wardrobe — smoke and soot settle into fibres, water brings staining and mold, and both spread well beyond the room where the loss happened.
The decision is usually clean-versus-replace, and it should be made on evidence: what the material is, what it went through, and what a documented restoration process can actually achieve.
When clothing, bedding, or leather goods have been through smoke, water, or mold.
When an adjuster is deciding between cleaning and replacing a household’s soft contents.
When items are sentimental — a child’s stuffed animal, a jacket you can’t replace — and replacement isn’t the answer.
When you need results you’d actually put back on, not just “washed”.
Our process, step by step.
Sort & document
Soft goods are separated by material and condition, photographed, and barcoded onto the same manifest as everything else.
Pre-treat
Items are assessed and pre-treated for what they’ve been through: soot, water, or mold contamination.
Esporta wash
The load runs through the Esporta Wash System with detergents matched to the loss type.
Deodorize & finish
Items are deodorized, dried, and finished before they go back on the manifest as restored.
Return with the rest
Restored soft goods are stored and returned with the rest of your contents, from whichever facility held them.
See it in action.
