Water in the house — and mold on the clock.
Water got into her home. Once belongings sit wet, black mold becomes the real threat — not just to what the water touched, but to everything stored alongside it. The house had to be opened up, and the contents could not stay in it.
Water intrusionThe whole house, packed out.
We packed out the entire home. Floors and stairs were covered and taped before anything moved, and the crew worked in shoe covers — the belongings were leaving, and the house itself still had to be protected on the way out.
Whole-home pack-outCleaned, treated, and in our vault.
At our facility every item was cleaned and treated so that no black mold could develop, then moved into our vault. That is where her belongings are now — safe and out of the damp house — for as long as the rebuild takes.
Cleaned & treatedUSAA approved it quickly — and Vera stayed involved.
Her insurance was through USAA, and the claim was approved fast. Vera, our owner, was personally involved in the job. Her contents stay with us until the rebuild is done and the house is ready for them.
In storageKindness, and a mirror carried like it mattered.
What she talks about first is the team's kindness. She singles out a large mirror — a piece that could so easily have been broken — and how carefully it was handled. Nothing was lost to mold, and her belongings are waiting in our vault for the day the house is ready.
